Downtown Howell Engagement Picture Extravaganza

It has been so long since our last post, we should be very, very ashamed of ourselves. After all, we’re just a little more than a year away from our tentative wedding and there’s so much to do! Thankfully, we had our good friend Andrea of Andrea J. Lawson Photography to keep us on task with our engagement photos. Not only were we excited and proud to have our friend, future bridesmaid and incredible local talent take our pictures, but we were just as happy to feature Downtown Howell in our shoot. One of our primary inspirations for a Michigan-made wedding, Downtown Howell is our home, our workplace and our playplace. As two self-employed creatives, Mike and I could live virtually anywhere. We choose Downtown Howell because it’s…well, it’s just us. Take a look at Andrea’s great work and see for yourself!

It was raining for most of our engagement shoot, but Gunshy didn't mind.

We find ourselves pretty hilarious.

Even the alleys in Downtown Howell are adorable!

Perhaps I'm making this face because I'm feeling guilty about how much money I recently spent in the store behind me, Le Boutique recently. It's right below our loft - how can I resist!

It stopped raining just long enough for us to get some of these!

This one is our favorite! It was taken right outside one of our favorite places, Uptown Coffeehouse.

So there’s one thing check off our list! Now the question…what do we do with them? We’re currently trying to think of fun, local ideas for save the dates. Any suggestions? Stay tuned! We may have been off the radar, but we have actually been making progress. Over the next week we’ll catch you up on our color palate, venue and more!

Yes, we're pretty cute.

Who's excited?

I absolutely love these pictures. You both looked like you had fun. I also love that you didn’t do the typical in the studio photos. These are fun.
